Feb. 02, 1965 - German Mercenary leads Government Forces in battle against north east Congo Rebe: Strong column of Congoless Government troops is now reported to be on the march for Feradje one of the last major strong holds in the North East Congo. The column is made up of 100 Belgian mercenaries of No. 6. Commando - and 600 Congelence and Katangan soldiers - and is under the command of Major Fritz Muller a German who holds the Iran Cross.
