Jul. 07, 1968 - Biafran Minister for Home Affairs speaks in London; Britain's attitude to the Nigerian civil war was Hypocritical Mr. Mojekwu, Biafran home Affairs Minister, said in London last night. On the one hand Britain gives bullets to kill us and, with the other, milk to try and save us. Mr. Mojekwu angrily denied that his government was using famine and refugee problem for propaganda and political purposes. He demanded that there should be a massive airlift into Biafra. Supplies would not be given to soldiers, but to refugees, starving children and the aged. But he repeated that Biafra would not accept supplies passed through Nigerian Federal territory.
