May 05, 1970 - President Nasser at the Battle Front: President Nasser spent the day at the battle front, after arriving in Suez in the morning. He toured the advanced posts on the Suez gulf, and attended a meeting at the regional army command, he was accompanied by UAR War Minister Gen. Mohammed Fawzi. Following the meeting Pres. Nasser and his entourage left for Ismailieh where he inspected the city, the army headquarters, and the troops.
