Nov. 11, 1967 - LIQUIDATION OF THE SUDAN REGIME'. Representatives of the Sudanese armed forces and a group of civilians are now said to have agreed on the principal of liquidating the present regime, which would be succeeded by a Government based on the 1956 provisional constitution, which, however, would first have to be amended. The announcement was made over the Omdurman radio last week. It has been agreed that President Abboud will continue as head of State and will exercise powers of the old Supreme Council after consultations with the cabinet. In addition he will be responsible for all matters related to the armed for ces.
