May 05, 1975 - Victim of famine: This picture, recently taken in Ethiopia by an Oxfam nurse, shows the spelling effects of the famine that has struck the nomadic people of the Ogaden desert region in the S.E. of the country. The famine has already claimed the lives of hundreds of children like this one, and over 40, 000 people have crowded into relief camps that have been setup in remote desert villages. The photograph was taken by Stephanie symmonds when working at the intensive feeding unit she helped to run at Gode near the Somali border
