May 05, 1978 - Pursuing the mission assigned to him by the Arab League council, Sudanese president Gaafar Numeiry returned from Baghdad to Cairo this morning whereupon he was received by president Sadat. President numeiry and president Sadat wound up their talks on the means of bolstering Arab Solidarity. The Sudanese President will today leave for Damascuss, accompanied by Arab league secretary general Mahmoud riad for talks with president hafezel Assad. Speaking at a press conference today Numeiry declared that the main objectives of his mission were to restore diplomatic relations among the Arab open Bilateral and Tri - Later channels of communications in order to remove the lack of confidence.
