Dec. 12, 1979 - Lord Soames the new Governor of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia: It was announced today that Lord Soames, leader of the House of Lords, Is to take over as the new Governor of Zimbabwe-Fhodesia, and is expected to take up residence in Salisbury next Week.
