This phrase of the Austrian social-educationalist Hermann Gmeiner, who was born at June 23rd 1919 in Alberschwende/Austria; was his motto since the year 1949 in which the first SOS-educational city in Imst/Tyrolia was founded, which had the of that time medicine-student adhered till today. As a president of the central administration of SOS-Kinderdorf International he takes care about 135 SOS-educational-citys, in which all great world - religions are content. The social - work, which 84 national SOS-educational-city-clubs in 65 countries belongs to, is supported by more than four millions friends of children, With his world-wide organisation Hermann Gmeiner intends to do a contribution to the freedom and the peace in the world.
