Nov. 11, 1980 - Pardon Report Of Edgar Tekere Denied: A report that Zimbabwe Cabinet Minister Mr Edgar Tekere might be released even if convicted of the murder of a white farmer, has been denied. The release of Mr Tekere was alleged to have been forcast by Zimbabwe's Information Minister, Mr Nathan Shamuyarita. But a senior Government spokesman, after consulting with the Minister, said the report was a blatant fabrication'. Mr Shamuyarira, he said firmly and flatly denied discussing the case of Mr Tekere, who is Minister of Manpower, Planning and Development.
