1971 - English Wine With A Special Name: Now that Britain is part of Europe, our wine producing industry is getting bigger every day. Peter Dodgson is one Englishman who has been producing wine from his own yard in the Midlands for more than a decade. Quite by chance Peters tiny village in Worcestershire is called North Piddle, and Piddles happens to be a colloquial word in English for Drunk - that well known condition experienced after a bottle or two too many! So, after a decade of successful wine production (his table wine is called Chateau Piddle of Course) Peter can claim to be well and truly Piddled! But infant its all hard and serious work, and Peter is kept busy tending the vines and bottling his special wine.
