Dec. 12, 1955 - The Long Furrow - nearly 2, 400 miles of it; Kept running for six days and nights, a British Pordeon Major diesel tractor plowed over 283 acres, prepared 400, 000 tons of soil for cultivation and turned a furrow nearly 2, 400 miles long.
