Jun. 06, 1961 - Police Inspector Shot Dead- Two Others Wounded: Police Inspector Phillip Pawsey (40) was shot dead- and SGT. S.G. Hutchins (49) and Police constable C. Fox (38) were both wounded - when a man ran amok with a gun - in Tennyson Road, west ham -- this afternoon. All available police reinforcements - including patrol cars were rushed to the area. Police searching for the man have been issued with revolvers.
