Oct. 01, 1964 - 1-10-64 Westmoreland Village takes on a Wild West atmosphere The tiny village of Kirby Stephen in Westmoreland yesterday took on the atmosphere of a town of the Wild and Wooly West when hill farmer Mr. Walter Tuer brought his hill ponies to market. One hundred and fifty of them, all shapes and sizes were driven through the main street and then auctioned in the centre of the village.
