May 05, 1968 - Argentine Chilled Beef Arrives In Britain: Part of the first consignment of Argentine chilled beef to arrive in Britain since the ban on its import was lifted last month being unloaded at Royal Victoria Dock yesterday. The National Farmers Union, which says such beef has been responsible for many primary outbreaks of foot and mouth disease, wants the meat to be kept away from farm livestock
