1962 - Britains Supersonic Airliner Pilot: Trubshaw At Work And Play: As the days pass and take-off time for Britains first flight of Concorde approaches, the man who will be at the controls is perhaps the coolest of the hundreds of technicians and others concerned with the project. Weekends are frequently spent at a little farm near Wisley in Surrey - within sound of aircraft all day and conveniently near for him to arrive and leave hurriedly by air.
