Mar. 03, 1953 - American jet-fighter shot down in Bavaria.: An American jet-fighter F-84 being on a routine flight in Southern Germany was attacked and shot down by two Czech jet-fighters of Russian origin of the type NYG-15 about 25 kilometers before the Czech border, on Tuesday forenoon about 11 hours middle-European time. The pilot could save himself by means of his parachute. Photo shows American air-police at the burnt-out wreckage of the F-84 which crashed near Falkenstein in the district of Roding
