Mar. 03, 1953 - Italian sets up new parachute jumping recorded new delayed Crop near Rome. Sauro Rinaldi an Italian parachute jumping expert recently set up a new record for a delayed descent by dropping from a height of 8, 400 metres but not pulling his record until he was only at a height of 300 metres from the ground (about 1, 000 feet). photo shows Sauro Rinaldi seen ofter his record breaking drop at Guidonia, Rome
