Mar. 09, 1953 - Blast of a ship in Duisburg - Ruhrort: One methane-gas bottle exploded on the Dutch ship Rupel from Rotterdan. The foreship was completely torn open and destroyed by the heavy explosion. The 18-years-old son of the ship-owner Willem Koopmans, Rotterdam, was killed. Until now they do not know why it came to the explosion of the methane-gas
