Sep. 09, 1953 - B.E.A. still in Air race: Mr. Peter Masefield, Chief Executive of British European Airways said today that they withdrew entry from next week's trans world air race early this year, but that after top level talks they re-entered a Vickers Viscount airliner. The Vickers Viscount R.M.A. Endeavour the gas turbined powered airliner is now ready for the contest, the longest and mos ardous ever planned.
