Beaten by the tide: Picture Shows: The scene as hundreds of workers- R.A.F. personnel etc. worked late into the night in a vain effort to haul the mighty Jet aircraft Britannia on to Dry Land- after she had been crash- landed in the mud of the river Severn at Bristol last evening.They were unsuccessful in their race to beat the tide and today tanks are to be brought into the struggle to save the800, 000 aircraft. Test pilot Bill Pegg had to crash land her when an engine caught fire during a test flight over Bristol
