Feb. 02, 1953 - R.A.F. gets a new advanced Trainer: As Britain's Royal Air Force goes ahead converting itself to all-jet operational strength, it is also changing its advanced trainer. The Balliol T.2 is replacing the Harvard. Powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, the new trainer seats pupil and instructor side-by-side.
