Sep. 27, 1955 - Two British jet fighters collided over Bonn, Germany. One of them, whose wreckage is pictured here, ended up setting a house on fire as it crashed. The residents jumped out the window and saved themselves. The pilots ejected and suffered only minor injuries. The other sank in the Rhein River
