Sep. 09, 1956 - 50th Anniversary Of Ellehammers First Flight In Europe: The 50th anniversary of the first flight in Europe, made by the Danish pioneer, Ellehammer, took place yesterday. To mark the anniversary the Danish pilot, Sylvest Jensen, flew from the island of Lindholm in one of Ellenhammers planes with a special cargo of Ellehammer's stamps, to Vordingborg, where he landed in a field just outside the town.
