Jun. 06, 1956 - The Comet II Leaves For Moscow. Air Minister and Soviet Air Atta Che. A Comet II airliner of R.A.F. Command left London Airport this morning for Moscow. Travelling were Air Minister Mr. Nigel Birch and eight senior R.A.F. Officers. They Have been invited to Russia to watch a Soviet air display at Tushino, nr. Moscow tomorrow. It is the first British Jet ever to visit the Soviet and the machine is flying non-stop (1564 miles).
