Jan. 01, 1956 - WEDDING AT THE VILLAGE CHURCH - SCENE OF THE AIR CRASH. BRIDE ESCORTED THROUGH WRECKAGE BY HER UNCLE. The wedding was held this afternoon at Wadhurst, Sussex, village church of 23 years old Miss Peggy Hazelden, of Hawkhurst and Mr. John Jackson of Wadhurst. The guests had to pick their way through the rubble of wrecked buildings - for Wadhurst was the scene of yesterday's crash of an R.A.F. Meteor - in which two civilians and two servicemen lost their lives. The only car allowed in the village was that of the bride and groom.
