Jun. 06, 1957 - British Bomber Breaks the sound barrier by mistake. A handley Page Victor four jet- V-Bomber on a test flight more than 40, 000 ft. above Hertfordshire has inadvertently broken the sound barrier, it was disclosed by the company yesterday.
