Jun. 06, 1957 - Through the sound barrier backwards Britain four-jet crescent-wing Victor bomber has flown through the sound barrier on a routine test flight and one of the three men in it was Mr. P. Langston, flight observer in a rear-facing seat, who now feels he is probably the first man to have gone through the sound barrier backwards.
