Mar. 03, 1958 - Vickers Valiant Refuels In Flight. The striking capacity of the R.A.F.'s Valiant Jet Bomber Force will soon be extended by the use of in-flight refuelling. The British Probe and Drogue system has been successfully flight tested with the aircraft, and many of the machines in R.A.F. squadron service have built-in provision for flight refuelling and can be readily converted to either the tanker or receiver role.
