Jul. 07, 1957 - Spitfire Aircraft Join'Battle of Britain Flight at R.A.F. Biggin Hill.: The three remaining Spitfires in the R.A.F. were today flown to R.A.F. Biggin Hill to join the Fighter Command's Only Hurricane. The machines are to be maintained to take part in future Battle of Britain and other ceremonial fly pasts. They are being flown by battle of Britain Pilots Group Capt. J.e. Johnson D.S.O.:Group Capt. J. Rankin D.S.O.; and Wing Commander D. Thompson D.F.C.
