Aug. 08, 1957 - SOLDIERS INJURE IN JUNGLE AIR CRASH RESCUED. Driver E. Roe, of Bishop Auckland, and Driver L.W. Moore, of Mitcham, Surrey, of No. 55 Company, R.A.S.C. who survived the Valetta air crash in the jungle near Tanjong Malim, in Perak, arrived recently by helicopter at the Kinrara Military Hospital, Kuala Lumpur, Malaya, straight from the scene of the disaster. Driver Roe was badly injured, but Moore could walk. Two other soldiers in the aircraft survived the crash - but the three members of the crew were killed. Keystone Photo Shows:- Driver E.
