May 05, 1959 - British Official Photograph Crown Copyright Reserved : The R.A.F Mountain Rescue team Reach wrecked Aircraft in Turkey : The British Avro Tudor freighter aircraft which crashed near the summit of mount Subhan (14, 434-ft) was reached by an R.A.F Mountain Rescue Team lat Sunday as they made their Hazardous way to the wreckage in this lonely part of Eastern Turkey. The aircraft, which was carrying secret material for the Rocket Range at Woomera, crashed on April 23rd. Twelve bodies were recovered from the Crashed aircraft, two to which are suspected to have died of exposure. The missiles, which were found 300-ft a part are probably to be blown up by the Turkish army to destroy all trace. Photo shows The position of the Tudor aircraft wreckage in the mountings of North).
