A new photograph - the second to be officially released - of the Short SC.L Vertical Take Off and Landing aircraft. The Sc.L made its first taxi-ing trials towards the end of last year. The aircraft, powered by five RBIOS engines, has been designed and built by Short as part of the Ministry of Supply Research Programme. The ultimate objective of the SC.L is vertical take off and conversion from hovering to forward flight
