Mar. 03, 1957 - 17 Die when giant freighter hits houses. 17 people were killed today when a giant R.A.F. Beverley transport plane crashed in flames and ploughed into housed in the village of dryton, near abingdon. Two of those who died were occupants of the wrecked houses, and the others were aboard the aircraft.
