A man wearing flying kit waded ashore from a dinghy yesterday and staggered, gaunt and baggard, into garden. He was the test pilot of the P1 Lightning Jet Fighter aircraft which plunged into the sea Thursday - he had come back from the dead. The Pilot Johnny Squier had been adrift in the dinghy for 30 hours in the wind swept Irish Sea and Selway firth after escaping by using his ejector seat. He stumbled ashore near Carlieston, Wigtownshire, about 30 miles from the point where his 1, 300 mph plane crashed into the sea. Miss Joselyne Donaldson, housekeeper of a children's home, put him to bed. He was later transferred to hospital. Picture shows: Mr. J.W.C.
