Mar. 03, 1959 - Lost Test Pilot Walks out of the sea After being Thirty Hours adrift in a dingy.: A Man wearing flying kit waded ashore from a dingy yesterday and staggered gaunt and haggered, into a garden. He was the test pilot of the P1 Lighting Jet fighter aircraft. which plunged into the sea on Thursday - he had come back from the dead. The pilot, Johny Squier, had been adrift in the digghy for 30 hours in the wind-swept stumbled ashore near Carlieston, Wightownshire about 30 miles from the point where his 1, 300 m.p.h. plane into the sea. He was taken to hospital suffering mainly with shock. Photo Shows. Mr. J.W.C. Squier, the test pilot, is carried on a strecher to an ambulance which took him to Garrick Cottage Hospital, Stranrae
