Jun. 06, 1958 - Ameirican Jet Tanker Aircraft arrive - Breaking new york - london record. Fifteen killed as one crashes. A giant American jet tanker plane - K.C. 135 - crashed today just after leaving west-over air force Base, mass, for London on transatlantic record attempt. All fifteen men lost their lives, including six American journalists -and Brig. General Donald Saunders record attempt. It crashed in an area known as Chicopee on the attempt.
