Feb. 26 Whoops!. There goes his tail: A four- man boeing test crew putting a B-52H through its pases over Arkanseas, U.S.A. succeeded in losing a major part of the plane's 40-ft. vertical fin. Loss of the tail piece occured during a low level test mission designed to seehow tough the craft was under conditions of extreme stress and strain. Despite the structural disaster, the B-52H made a perfect landing. Photo shows after its tail structure was severely damaged the B-52H limps back to its air base at Blyntheville (Arkansas)
