Feb. 26 American British Crosstie In China Sea: A U.S. Navy Skyhawk, light attack bomber, is catapulted from the British carrier H.M.S. Victorious during exercise Crosstie in the South China Sea. The American jet was from the U.S.S. Ticonderega which with her escorts was exercising with the British flattop and its escorting vessels. Object of the exercise was complete integration, the aircraft of each nation arming with the weapons of the other and taking directions from operations centers in either of the carriers
