Feb. 26 Hijacking in Sweden: A Scandinavian Airlines DC 9 was hijacked by three unidentified men during a domestic flight from Gothenburg to Stockholm September 15. The pilot was forced to go to the Bulltofta Airport in Malmo. On board were 86 passengers and a crew of four. The hijackers claimed that the Swedish government would release seven Jugoslavian prisoners, among them two who murdered the Jugoslavian ambassador in Stockholm. A waiting the released prisoners the passengers were kept as hostage. When the released prisoners came to the Airport a new demand was spoken by the hijackers: half a million Swedish crowns ($ 100.000.-). When the money was delivered to the hijackers by two policemen the hostage was released. The airplane left Malmo for Madrid with hijackers and six former prisoners. One refused to go with the hijackers. Photo shows the two policemen are standing with their hands above the heads and the money bags beside them when the hostage is leaving the airplane
