Mar. 31 Scimitar Flashes ? Britain?s new naval fighter, the Scimitar (Vickers Supermarine N.113) recently carried out trials aboard H.M.S. Ark Royal, Britain?s latest, 36, 800 (long) tons aircraft carrier. Powered by two Rolls-Royce turbo jets, Scimitars are capable of carrying guided missiles. Their armament is four 30 mm Aden guns.
