Apr. 17 The Swiss Airforce Takes To the Air 50 year ago the first Junkers aircraft took off at the German aircraft factory in Dessau. Today, these three remaining Ju 52's which are used as carrier planes to transport members of the Swiss Army. Are in danger of ending up in the junk yard if the government have their way, as they say the planes are now past their best-but the army wants to keep them in service
