Apr. 17 Navy's New Armed Dirigible Nears Completion. Workmen are shown putting one of the giant rudder fins in place on the U.S. Navy's new armed air Leviathan, Macon, which is nearing completion at the Goodyear-Zeppelin Plant in Akron, Ohio, U.S.A. The Macon is the sister ship to the U.S.S. Akron and when completed will give the Navy the two largest and most modern armed Dirigibles in the World
