Feb. 08, 1962 - Britain's New Air Giant: Viceker's VC 10 - the biggest jet airliner ever built in Europe - is nearing completion at Weybridge, Surrey. The 600-mph airliner, which can carry up, to 150 passengers, should be airborne by spring and in service along with BOAC by 1964. Its four jets are mounted along the rear of the wing spabs fuselage.
