Nov. 11, 1963 - Big American Order For Concordes. It has been announced that the American Trans World Airlines have placed an order for four of the new Anglo-French Concorde aircraft, for delivery early in 1971. This means that there are now 29 of the 1, 500 mph supersonic airliners on order at a total value of £116, 000, 000. Trans World are the fourth American company to buy the Concorde'. A £4 1/2 million laboratory is being built at Farnborough for the express purpose of testing the Concorde'. Photo Shows:- A view of how the Concorde will look in T.W.A. colours
