Dec. 12, 1960 - Aircrash in Munich: On Dec. 17th, at about 2p, m. a US military machine of the type Convair with about 20 people on board crashed into a crossroad in the city of Munich. The plane started from airport Munich-Reim and when crossing over Munich, the pilot discovered that the motors were not working properly. He tried to get back to the airport but crashed into a street, damaging a house and burying a wagon of a tram which was full of people just returning from their Christmas shopping. All people on board the plane and in the tram were killed, the plane exploded when crashing on the tram About 40 to 60 people are reported to be killed. Photo shows a priest who happened to be at the place of the accident in background is seen part of the crashed plane
