Dec. 12, 1960 - Air disaster in Munich: On Dec.17th, at about 2 p.m. a US military plane of the type Convair with about 20 people on board crashed into a crossroad in the city of Munich. The plane started from airport Munich-Riem and when crossing over Munich, the pilot discovered that the motors were not working properly. He tried to get back to the airport but crashed into a street, damaging a house (slightly) and burying a wagon of tram. All was a sea of flames, smoke and ruins. About 40 to 60 people are reported to be killed
