1964 - Three in one sign for Jumping jets. The world's first Jump Jet warplane squadron, equipped with Hawker Siddeley's P 1127 vertical aircraft, is due to begine operating early next year from the R.A.F. airfield at West Raynham. Norfolk, will be manned by crews and ground staff from the R.A.F and the American and west German air forces, and the nine aircraft will carry a new roundel symbol which incorporates the markings of all three of these air forces.. the red, white and blue of the R.A.F. the Luftwaffe's iron cross, and the U.S.A.F star.
