Aug. 09, 1967 - An Airship Underoges Trials In Britain. But Only For The Film Chitty Bang Bang': An aircraft specially built for the film musical Chitty Bang Bang, based on children's stories by the late Ian Bond Fleming, caused quite a stir when it appeared over a field at Turville, in Buckinghamshire, where the film is being shot. The Board of Trade gave permission for the ship to operate provided it was kept in check by a group of men hanging on to guy-ropes.
