Sep. 09, 1967 - Hercules enters R.A.F. Squadron service: The first squadron of R.a.f air support command to fly the Hercules C.Mk.1 aircraft - no.36 - has new been formed at R.A.F lyneham, wilts. It is commanded by wing commander J.D. playing. Introduction of the Hercules - 66 have been ordered for the R.A.F.- will substantially increase the capability of air support conman's tactical force.
