Oct. 10, 1967 - High Explosive Caused Air Crash: Evidence of an explosion of a high explosive (of a military or similar type - not an ordinary gelignita') was proved to have caused the crash of the B.E.A. Comet which crashed into the Mediterranean 100 miles East of Rhodes on Oct 12th 67. Photo shows Mr. Alfred Nicol-Smith, Chief Experimental Officer, in charge of the Matallurgical studies seen with salvaged objects from the fatal aircraft
